On Thursday 11 and Friday 12th of May 2023, two photographers, Melanie Muddle and Hannah Robinson came and set up a a selfie machine. It was an exploration into one’s emotions, and a wonderful way for locals to share their stories.
Everyone has had a photo taken by someone else, but with MIRU it was oneself taking the control away from the photographer and into our own hands.
Standing behind the curtain we had our own control of these images. There was no camera in sight. We were only looking into a mirror and by clicking a remote control, we would take our own photos by the camera hiding behind the mirror.
These photos are all Pinnaroo locals and we hope you can enjoy them.
