The Pinnaroo Project with the help of Melinda Oster from Our Little Shed, created a stunning display of metal poppies for the local ANZAC parade.
Melinda, a Pinnaroo local and amazing metal artist, taught the community how to create these gorgeous poppies from pieces of scrap metal. On the lead up to ANZAC day, the HUB was open for anyone who wanted to pop in and help make poppies for the display.

The process involved stenciling, hand cutting, drilling and painting the poppies, which are then assembled with a stake to go into the ground. It was a challenging and fun project with an amazing outcome.
It was a lovely service and the poppies were such a thoughtful and beautiful touch to the memorial. A truly wonderful way for the community to get involved with art, the project and of course, to commemorate the ANZACs.

Thanks to Jill Nickolls for the beautiful photos from the parade.
